LPM Advisors, LLC, founded by Brad Carter and headquartered in Downers Grove, IL, is a boutique consulting firm dedicated to driving excellence across the construction industry. With decades of field, organizational, and project-level experience, we specialize in providing customized guidance and solutions that directly impact cost, schedule, safety, and overall project success.

About Brad

I live in Downers Grove, Illinois with my wife of over 20 years.  Our lives are centered around our 3 teenagers, with the oldest heading off to college next year.  While my days of coaching sports have passed, I still enjoy watching my kids participate in sports, theater, and life.  Outside of work, I spend time on home projects, cycling, and trying to get better at golf. 

Experience

I am a seasoned leader in the construction industry with over 26 years of experience managing project teams and organizations. Based in Chicago, I most recently served as the Vice President and Operations Manager at Turner Construction Company, where I oversaw all Chicago projects from preconstruction through final job closeout. Under my leadership, the Chicago office, comprising over 200 employees, generated $700 million in annual revenue. I was instrumental in establishing the long-term vision and culture of the business unit, emphasizing safety and a positive work environment. My expertise extends to advising stakeholders and optimizing team performance, ensuring operational excellence and continuous improvement.

My career started on construction jobsites, working in job trailers and field offices as an Assistant Superintendent in the Washington DC office.  Throughout my career, I have risen through various field roles, including Senior Project Superintendent, Senior Project Manager,  and Construction Executive. My responsibilities have ranged from operational planning and maintaining effective team relationships to overseeing project schedules, quality, and budgetary goals. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Virginia and am proficient in Lean principles, scheduling, and budget management. My commitment to fostering growth and development, along with my ability to manage profit and loss at both project and enterprise levels, makes me a valuable asset to any organization.
